Done! 
Here's my entry to the NOS Queen Beatrix contest hosted for her 75th birthday. If I'm one of the lucky 75, my piece will be hung in Palace 't Loo amongst some of Holland's finest artists! EEK! Let's stay humble though, and enjoy the experience of working on something like this (/coughbutIstillreallywannawin).
The piece is centered around the clash of the old and the new, the traditional and the digital. This piece was fully produced in photoshop, but I have used traditional pentexture for shading and paint-splashes, in combination with photoshop gradients, brushes and color-altering techniques. It's also an attempt to show how the two can combine: Our queen, who represents the beauty of the classic, with the beauty of the digital. Win + win = gorgeous picture, amiright? yeah, I thought so too.

As this is a combination of the old and the new, I must of course credit the brushes I have used for this shared media piece! Sorry if I forgot anyone, I kinda used a lot all through each other.
